Nancy takes stepping stone to bigger dreams

Nancy is a process server who works with attorneys processing packages, mailings and paperwork. She mentions it’s a dream job with it being hybrid, flexible and in an industry she hopes to start a business in one day, a stepping stone to bigger dreams.

She first came to DFSA for a professional styling appointment after remembering that the organization was recommended as a resource by a local therapist. Nancy shares that the in-person suiting helped her gain confidence and boost her wardrobe during the interview process and says she could have never found this same confidence in a store.

Nancy hopes to become a private investigator one day and grow within a company she establishes herself. She was recently certified via the Texas Process Servers Academy which helped her land her current role and will help gain the experience and insights for her future career aspirations.

She is a mom of eight who pursued a mechanical engineering degree in Houston and now has kids following suit at universities in Tallahassee and Georgia. Last year, Nancy also received a manufacturing certification through a six-week course that initially made her realize how much she could accomplish as a working mother pursuing bigger dreams. She tells her kids that the dream isn’t going to come to you, you have to chase it and continues to showcase this through her own career.
