If you or someone you know would like to attend one of our events, all you need to do is show up. We ask that you bring strong bags from home if you would like to attend one of our pantries, but if you do not have bags then we should have some available for you.

Ladies Let's Talk English Conversation Practice
Ladies Let’s Talk’s English conversation practice sessions begin next week and will run for five weeks on the following dates:
Thursdays at 7pm Central time — April 10, April 17, April 24, May 1, May 8
Fridays at 10:30am Central time — April 11, April 18, April 25, May 2, May 9
All registered volunteers and learners will receive a text invitation on Mondays beginning Monday, April 7. Spaces fill quickly, so please RSVP as soon as you can so we can hold a space for you.
During Conversation sessions, you’ll receive an invitation text on Mondays inviting you to that week’s sessions.

La Mujer! A Celebration of women
In its 14th year, the ESB MACC's annual La Mujer event celebrates women and women-identifying individuals in Austin’s Mexican American and Latina/o/x/e community.
This event is on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. It is a free event that is open to all ages, gender identities, and cultural identities where women can be seen, heard, and empowered. Free workshops and activities focus on wellness, women in justice, know-your-rights, and all-local visual and performing arts groups. There is a focus on uplifting and hiring women for all roles of this event, including our graphic design, sound engineer, etc!

Ladies Let's Talk Luncheon
If you live in or near Austin, Texas, please attend our potluck luncheon! This is a great opportunity to meet other learners and volunteers in person and learn more about another wonderful Austin nonprofit organization, Dress for Success.
We’ll gather at St. Matthew's around 11:30 a.m. and begin eating at noon. At 12:45 our friends from Dress for Success Austin will tell us about the services they provide to any woman looking for a job. Dress for Success Austin not only provides women job seekers with clothing and accessories for a stylish, professional appearance, but they also offer career mentoring and financial education.

Tax Day
We are now less than two weeks away until the filing deadline! Taxpayers have until April 15th to file their taxes or request an extension (more info on this below!). Prosper Tax Help is open seven days a week with daytime and evening hours across 10 sites in Travis and Williamson counties.

Rental Assistance | I Belong in Austin
The I Belong in Austin program provides tenant rental assistance to residents vulnerable to eviction. The Housing Department’s goal is to provide financial assistance with rent, moving, storage, and relocation costs to avoid eviction and keep families in their homes. El Buen Samaritano continues to serve as program administrator.

Travis County Expunction Expo
What is the Expunction Expo?
Removing old arrest records from your criminal history can be difficult without help. The 2025 Expunction Expo will help Travis County residents clear their old arrest records. Not all arrests qualify for clearing but it is usually helpful to try. Why? Individuals with arrest records often find it hard to obtain jobs, housing, or financial aid for college.

Holidays Around the World
The ACC Military Families Center and Student Advocacy Center are excited to invite you and your family to our first annual Holidays Around the World celebration on Saturday, December 14th!
This festive event invites you to experience the magic of holiday traditions from countries across the globe, showcased through vibrant displays and engaging activities created by our World Languages Department and Cultural Centers. Enjoy strolling through these cultural exhibits, participate in hands-on crafts inspired by global celebrations, and discover the unique customs that make each holiday special.
To make the day even more special, Santa will be available for pictures until the 45 minute mark of each hour, and each child will have the chance to pick out a gift to take home!
